These, among others, are: increased preoccupation with gambling, wide mood swings, relying on others for money to relieve a financial problem that arose due to gambling, lying to family members or others to hide the amount of gambling. The research shows that four to six percent of those who regularly gamble will eventually become problem gamblers or compulsive gamblers. Great number of the addicted people will never ask for help.
