great solution!!
(one question about it : suppose i login in the morning and i stumble upon the secret action at once, which would give me 50 action points, but i havent made a mode yet .. after that i make 100 moves (giving me 200 action points) .. will the (50) secret actions points which i stumbled upon while i still have 0 move action points still count as i have sufficient move actions points later on ?) I am not sure if I fully understand but as I can see now, you have only 22 points for moves today, so the zero at the secret points column is quite normal.

Thanks for your reply on my comment! I think I know what hrqls means: let's assume that he clicked on an Action Point action one hour ago that gives him 50 points. At the moment he only has 22 points for moves, which explains the zero points at Secret Points. Let's now assume that for the rest of the day he exactly reaches 51 points for moves (or 60 or 70.. anything larger than 50
Yeah, that other idea was where I initially thought the Secret Points were! Comments (2)
Ah! That's it.
Should I make the scary look at this entry my new icon on BrainKing? Comments (4)
nod thats what i meant
ok .. so the first thing people have to do is move .. and when they have sufficient move points, then they can hunt for the secret ones your scary look ? i thought you were flirting (one eye closed, blinking (maybe everyone who i think to be flirting is actually scared by me ? or trying to scare me away ? i love! the idea for secret (or achievement) points for certain achievements like gammoning someone, backgammoning someone or making 5 in a line in connect4, or connecting 6 in connect5 or connecting more than 6 in connect6, or connecting several lines at once, or when you force someone to pass in reversi, or if you force someone to have only 1 possible move for more than 3 consecutive turns in anti chess, or to make more than 10 points in 1 froglet move, or ... i love it! Hehe, just a little comment on the look of Fencer in the pic... I think it looks like he's watching us

That is a very ingenious solution indeed! And also a good question by Hrqls. Do you still have put up a cap for max. action points? Or if somebody makes 10000 move-Action points, can he/she get 10000 Secret Points?
Personally, I don't think that things got such out of hand that people were not moving in games to hunt down the action points. I'm sure there were three windows open: one for the search of Action Points, one for the profile to check whether you found some and another one on the main page! Heck, maybe even more, if you include the discussion boards page to check on hints and updates! Have you thought about including Secret Points for certain achievements in games? Like gammoning an opponent, or beating an opponent in 5-in-line after less than 15 moves? Finding the 2-boat in BB+ on the first 5 shots? Something like that Comments (2)
There is still a daily cap which cannot be exceeded. But it's a little different every day.
The certain achievements in games is not a bad idea. Comments (4)
This idea is great! People were getting all bent out of shape to find these dayum secret points. I also think the idea of extra points for achievements in games is great!

i just hope this doesn't result in secret-points hunters badgering their opponents to "hurry up and move!"
i guess if it does we can just tell them to go start more games if they want to make more moves. Comment (1)
I think some people will probably do that but then they just have to pick opponents who move fast. True enough I hate it when people move like once every 10th day but I try to avoid those people... and if they are just too slow for me I'd rather resign then start harrassing them to move faster

I thought that u started them so people might make more move and get games and tourneies to go faster. I know a lot of people don't care what I have to say but I'm going to give it a try;
I really thing that a person should not get to look or try for the action points tell their main screen say (No games to play? Try our Press monitoring while you wait for your opponents.) that way they are not holding up anything and have the free time on the site to go look around for things. Otherwise the people with lots of games like 500 to 1000 get the chance to make more points. And some games still get put on the side after they have made some moves looking for the free points. Thxs everyone for Ur time. :o) Comment (1)
I agree, the first thing here is really to play games but it has sort of become the second important thing since the secret points were launched. That's why I think it is a very good idea the way it is now, this way you have to play games to earn secret points
