Trotter’s Dream Comes to Life with Massive Online Win
Keith R became
Jackpotjoy and
Deal or No Deal Online’s biggest ever winner when he landed an incredible Ł1,365,996.64 at 11:42am Saturday 10th January while playing at home.
The married market stall trader describes the moment the news finally sank in.
“I remember, a little while after my win, I was staring at the computer screen again – it was still sinking in really. My wife was videoing me looking at the page and I remembered the scene from Only Fools & Horses when they’re in the van after coming out of the auction house.
“And she asked me, on the camera, ‘what was the total in the end?’ and I said ‘Ł1.365 Million Pounds. Not bad for a day on the market!’
“Then she asked me ‘who wants to go first, you or me?’
“And I said, ‘let’s go together’ and then we both just started screaming. And that was when it really sank in. Just amazing.”
Despite the sudden change, Keith’s become quite philosophical about his win.
“I kept thinking about Only Fools & Horses, you know. About how they’d worked hard all their lives and kept on struggling through. And we’ve always kept on laughing and we’ve always kept going, and now this has happened and everything’s changed.
“Me and the wife used to use that line – ‘This time next year, we’ll be millionaires’ – we used to say it to each other, just like Del Boy, with that smile. And now we are. Millionaires. It’s amazing, it really is.”
So congratulations Keith, or as Del Boy would say – Lovely Jubbly!!
