Play online bingo with friends in the UK at Jackpotjoy Bingo. Wednesday, July 30. 2008Brains, Brains and more Brains
Good news, everyone! Almost fifty BrainKing users are already participating in the free membership action and all of them have received their free Brains. Since this action has no limits, I would like to remind that everyone is eligible to participate, no matter which country he is from.
And, in order to give this offer even better support and promotion, I am announcing the following news and improvements:
We also plan to create prize tournaments of this kind on a regular basis, so it does not matter when you succeed to earn your free Brains. There will be always an open tournament to compete with other participants and win more Brains.
Sunday, July 27. 2008Get a free paid membership (again?)
It was a long time ago when BrainKing had created a special action or contest with a chance to win a paid membership for free. Besides a quite positive outcome, these actions had shown that people, who cannot afford to pay for a membership but would like to try it out at least for a month, were willing to do some manual clicking work in a free time, in order to compete among themselves and deserve a prize.
And here it is again. This time, it is not a monthly special action. It is a permanent action which is valid until ended by an official announcement. First of all, what you can get for free:
Now, what you are required to do:
And finally, what you, most likely, won't get:
If you are interested in this offer, please read the instructions. I would like to point out that this is, at this moment, an experimental option to be tried out by BrainKing players who are not afraid of doing a little work to get a paid membership for free. There is no risk and there is nothing to lose. Furthermore, a friend of mine wants to write a thesis about this aspect of contemporary web and I'll be happy to pass along all interesting personal experiences and opinions.
Friday, July 25. 2008AlertPay payment option
After 11 great days, spent on Cyprus (a really beautiful country), I am back, well rested and with some news and announcements:
I have also discovered an alternative way to get a paid membership on BrainKing, even if you have no available money at all. But since it must be explored in details first, it will be officially announced later.
Thursday, July 10. 2008Decentralization, part deux (first announcement)
Due to reasons which do not fully fit into an angle of this blog site, I spent the last month working on a side project and such events always have side effects - it is not possible to 100% concentrate on both BrainKing and the mentioned additional tasks. Luckily, this period is over and it is really nice to see that BrainKing can survive even when it is not pedantically maintained on a daily basis.
Very well, now to the real topic of this article. Since I am still not satisfied with the international accessibility of BrainKing game site (more precisely, some BrainKing users are not satisfied, my own connection is very good), I have decided to change our serverhousing provider once more because the international line bandwidth of the new one is supposed to be at least tenfold better, not to mention other advantages of a technical kind. And, since to move a couple of permanently high-loaded servers is a little more difficult than to move a laptop from one room to another, this important change will not happen immediately and requires some preliminary tasks. Let me describe the details:
Please note that what I have just written is just an announcement and no special event should happen prior to September 2008. When more detailed information is known, it will be posted to BrainKing Server News as well. Thanks for reading.
Wednesday, July 9. 2008New trends in the Internet
This is a PR article. BrainKing is not responsible for the content or any provided information.
The new age shows that the future technology explores all kinds of the communication from simple telephone to the internet. As everyday brings the new releases of different products, we do not imagine life without internet. The access to it is easy and no matter where we are – train, car, work, and home – there is not any problem to get connected. Just two decades ago no one would think that the computer technology would bring so much to everyday's life. But, what do we look for mostly in the internet, is daily information about what is going on around the world, but also many try their luck to earn money over the net. This may occur in different ways. Some will try their luck on on-line stock exchange and some simply by playing on the net, other words, by online gambling. Every year brings number of new portals where we can play and win. This kind of home entertainment keeps us busy at nights and even very often during the hours of our work. Today we find online casinos and online poker without any problem. It is enough to search the browser for a site that will fulfill our requirements. And the choice is very wide. Online gambling has nearly doubled every year since 1997 and just in 2001 it exceed 2 billion US Dollars. But to gamble on the net is as dangerous as to gamble in real casino or poker room. According to the American Psychological Association the Internet could be as addictive as drugs, alcohol, and gambling. Many good sites offering these types of games try to have good protecting program from being addicted, but the last word always belongs to us. If you gamble on the net you should know the warning signals letting you know something goes wrong. These, among others, are: increased preoccupation with gambling, wide mood swings, relying on others for money to relieve a financial problem that arose due to gambling, lying to family members or others to hide the amount of gambling. The research shows that four to six percent of those who regularly gamble will eventually become problem gamblers or compulsive gamblers. Great number of the addicted people will never ask for help.
